There are two essential choices when considering a conservatory makeover. Choices centred around regaining control of that  floor space that the extremes of heat or cold, have never truly really released into your control. Specifically:

1. Remove the entire, original conservatory roof (and potentially the window/rood frames)
2. Strip out the glazing/PVC trims and use the structural aluminium skeleton to maximum use.

You can of course dismantle an existing structure, removing structural aluminium, ring-beams, wall plates, heavy gauge glazing bars and ridges, to then re-install more heavy gauge aluminium? Or use the original conservatory construction that met stringent BBA (British Board of Aggrement) standards, whilst also potentially having various British Standard Kite marks for safety and severe weather rating, with the ability to take the substantial weight of snow upon it?
